Vivienne Aerts (25 jaar), jazz zangeres, koor dirigent en psycholoog gaat in januari 2012 naar Boston - Amerika om daar verder te studeren aan Berklee college of music. Deze studie duurt 2 jaar. Een deel van de kosten worden gedekt door het VSB fonds en het prestigieuze Fulbright program. In dit promotiefilmpje legt zij meer uit over haar plannen en hoopt zo uw interesse te wekken om haar te helpen bij het verder financieren van haar studie in Amerika. The new demo is coming... still not satisfied but busy with a lot of things. A little impression; I'm learning to conduct jazz choir with Tijs Krammer in Alkmaar. At the same time finishing my master thesis about music, alexithymia and personality. Next project will be the Try Out festival in Leiden (www.tryoutfestival.nl) where I am responsible for the program on Thursday 29 oktober. This evening one can see culture in the little cabins on the platforms in Leiden Central station. The last project I'm involved in will be the lustrum-party of the university (10 june 2010).

New website of Vivienne. This new website is online and I'm proud of it. The coming weeks I'll update and finish it. A new demo cd is in the making and I'll present it on the web when it is finished.

Aqua Sapone in Leidse Jazz week - The usual formation Aqua Sapone, water and soap, is a young jazz quintet with a string quartet that performs the own compositions of Vivienne. The lyrics, music and arrangements are made by Vivienne and give a little ‘singersongwriterisch’ effect. The listener will hear interesting grooves, cosy ambiances and touching stories. During the Leidse Jazz Week they will perform as a trio. Vief's going to BOSTON!! - The first two weeks of July I've participated in a workshop in Italy, Perugia, during the Umbria jazz festival. The teachers came from the Berklee college of music from Boston. It was a great experience. After the lessons from 10.00-18.30 we went to the different jazz concerts and we conclude the day/night with a jam session in one of the cafes in the city. After two weeks they gave special prices to the best musicians of the workshop. I got one of these prices: a scholarship at Berklee of $8000,- !! This means that I can go to Boston to follow lessons in this famous conservatory/ music school.

The début concert of Vivienne's own work. After a lot of work finally my own composed concert. It will be in Leiden in a concert location with a really nice ambiance. I hope you will be there.

Vivienne sings with AMSTEL BIGBAND. Vivienne doet mee met het Amstel bigband project Vocal Party. Zij zal 'Orange coloured sky' & 'When sunny gets blue' met deze professionele band ten gehore brengen.
